1. The maximum number of places available for students in the Special Education Unit is 16.

2. All enrolment applications must be received by the school by the enrolment closing date set each year.

3. If the number of applications received by the closing date exceeds the number of places available, then the following priorities will be used to determine which students will be offered places in the Special Education Unit. The first priority will be given to students whose usual place of residence is within the school’s Geographic Zone, as defined elsewhere in the school’s Enrolment Scheme, and who have previously been educated in a Conductive Education facility. The second priority will be given to students whose usual place of residence is not within the school’s Geographical Zone, but who have previously been educated in a Conductive Education facility. The third priority will be given to students whose usual place of residence is within the school’s Geographic Zone, and who have previously been educated in a general Special Education facility. The fourth priority will be given to students whose usual place of residence is not within the school’s Geographic Zone, and who have previously been educated in a general Special Education facility. All other Special Education students shall have fifth priority for enrolment places.

4.Where there are more applicants than available places, a ballot will be held within each priority category, in order to determine which applicants will be offered places in the school.
